1. Who is eligible to participate in the competition?
The competition is open to all middle and high school students worldwide.
2. What is the theme of this year's competition?
This year's competition theme is "Innovations in Biomedical Science: From Theory to Practice."
3. What should my essay focus on?
Your essay should focus on topics related to Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, and Medicine.
4. What are the word limit and other submission requirements?
Essays should be no more than 1500 words long and be original and well-researched.
5. How do I enter the competition?
To enter, submit your essay by email to the address provided on our website or bioscienceprogram@gmail.com. Include your full name, school and grade, and contact details (email address, phone number, and parents' or guardians' contact information).
6. What is the submission deadline?
The deadline for submission is September 15, 2023.
7. How will the essays be judged?
A panel of esteemed judges, experts in biomedical science, will evaluate essays based on originality, clarity, scientific accuracy, relevance, creativity, writing style, and significance.
8. When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be announced on our website and social media channels on October 15, 2023.
9. Will all participants receive recognition for their participation?
Yes, all participants will receive a certificate of participation to recognize their dedication to science.

Yes, participants will receive valuable critiques from experts in the field to help them improve their writing and scientific skills.

12. Can I submit an essay that has been previously published elsewhere?
Essays should be original. Submissions that have been previously published are not eligible.

14. Is there an entry fee?
We do not collect an entry fee for the competition. However, we strongly recommend that participants consider donating $300 to support the BioScience Program. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on donations to cover the cost of hiring judges who will individually assess the essays. Your support helps us maintain the quality of the competition and provide valuable feedback to all participants.
