Microbiology is the study of living microscopic organisms, such as bacteria, fungi, protozoa, algae, and parasites. This course will teach students the basics of microbiology and the most common techniques used in the microbiology field. The relevance of microbiology to our environment and human diseases and impact on our life will be discussed. Virtual labs and simulations will be used to show students how real lab techniques are done.
